Chelsea eyes swap deal for Crystal Palace’s Olise with Raheem Sterling offer

Chelsea is presumably preparing to propose a swap deal involving their own winger Raheem Sterling in an attempt to win the services of Crystal Palace’s renowned winger Michael Olise.

According to sources close to the discussions, the Blues are willing to improve the deal by offering Sterling along with a cash fee to fulfill Palace’s £60 million estimate for Olise.

Considering Manchester United’s strong interest in Olise, Chelsea is set to outmanoeuvre their rivals in the hunt for his signing.

According to reports, Chelsea had previously considered signing Olise when his release clause was £35 million, but the player chose to prolong his contract with Palace, which had an improved release clause.

Chelsea’s willingness to part ways with Sterling underscores their eagerness to bolster their attacking options. However, complications may arise if Sterling proves reluctant to leave Stamford Bridge, given his substantial wage package of £325,000 per week and contract running until 2027.

For Crystal Palace, acquiring Sterling as part of the deal could soften the blow of losing Olise. Despite his recent dip in form and favor under Mauricio Pochettino, Sterling’s pedigree and experience could prove invaluable to the Eagles. His arrival would provide a like-for-like replacement for Olise and offer a significant boost to Palace’s attacking prowess.

While negotiations are ongoing, Chelsea’s proposal could pave the way for an intriguing transfer saga, with both clubs aiming to strike a mutually beneficial deal.

As the summer transfer window approaches, all eyes will be on how this potential swap deal unfolds.
