Chelsea have been heavily linked with Sporting Lisbon star Viktor Gyokeres this January.

The Blues are still in the market for some firepower despite the exorbitant sums they spent over the last few transfer windows.

Summer signing Nicolas Jackson has struggled to find the back of the net consecutively whereas Christopher Nkunku has been out with a knee injury for the first half of the season.

Chelsea have recently been linked with Sporting Lisbon striker Viktor Gyokeres who has scored 22 goals and laid on 10 assists in just 25 appearances this campaign.

The Blues have been linked with a host of strikers this month but would struggle to sign anyone as they have to comply with the Financial Fair Play regulations.

Sporting holds out a huge €100m (£85.7m) sum for their star striker which would definitely be out of reach for Chelsea at this point in time.

The Sweden international recently was quizzed about his future with the Lisbon giants.

‘I don’t think anything about it,’ he told Sport TV. ‘I’m here and we have important games to play, I’m focused on that.

‘There’s a lot of talk on social media and elsewhere, but I’m not focused on that I don’t think about anything else. I’m here right now. I’m 100% focused on this and the club.’
