Chelsea open to sell Armando Broja as transfer deadline day approaches.

The Chelsea forward has been one of the best players to come out of the Chelsea academy but injuries have restricted his development in the last 18 months.

He has struggled to get minutes since the arrival of Nicolas Jackson and Christopher Nkunku in the summer scoring only one goal in his 13 Premier League appearances in 2023/24.

Broja has struggled to make an impact at Chelsea partly due to injuries but the club would take a huge gamble allowing a young talent to leave in January.

The Blues will have to make some important sales this January as they are walking on a thin line with FFP.

Chelsea are reportedly demanding £50million for the 22-year-old striker with Aston Villa, Fulham and West Ham crediting an interest in the Blues academy graduate.

Transfer guru Fabrizio Romano claims Chelsea will sell Broja only to fund the deal for a new striker.

“We know Chelsea want a new striker in the summer, and, as widely reported, it’s a possibility for Armando Broja to leave this January,” Romano said.

“It depends on the proposals, as Chelsea would only allow that if they receive important money. While I understand the risk of losing a fine young talent like Broja, Chelsea already know they want to make a big signing up front in June, so probably it could make sense for all parties to make this sale now, as long as the money is right.”
