Chelsea receive boost in their pursuit of Palmeiras starlet Estevao Willian

Estevao Willian’s contract with Palmeiras will expire in the summer of 2026.

Chelsea have received a boost in their pursuit of Palmeiras starlet Estevao Willian. The 16-year-old is regarded as one of the brightest prospects in South America. He has made only six senior appearances for Palmeiras.

He made his debut in July last year and has since made five substitute appearances in 2024. He has also dropped back down the Under-20s side where he scored four goals and provided two assists in five games.

Estevao Willian also took part in the 2023 Under-17s World Cup for Brazil where he netted three goals and three assists in five games.

As per reports, Barcelona were also eyeing a summer move for him but they pulled out as they believed that it could hinder the development of Lamine Yamal.

Chelsea and PSG are now in the race to sign the teenager. His contract with Palmeiras will expire in the summer of 2026. They have to fork out at least €60m. 70% of the transfer fee goes directly to Palmeiras, and 30% is taken by the player’s entourage.

Estevao will turn 18 in April next year and he could follow in the footsteps of Endrick in moving to Europe.
