Chelsea are reportedly planning the move for AZ Alkmaar striker Vangelis Pavlidis who is favourite target among top clubs. The Blues added some amazing strikers last summer like Nicolas Jackson, Deivid Washington and Christopher Nkunku.

Only Nicolas Jackson was regular under Pochettino. Nkunku got injured from a serious injury and he missed out all games. Chelsea will now look for winter options.

They also targeted Brentford’s Ivan Toney but they are facing a competition for a player who is valued at £100m by Arsenal. Victor Osimhen’s move is also in jeopardy.

As per Greek outlet Sport 24, the West London club have now turned their attention to AZ’s Pavlidis. A Chelsea scout was recently in attendance to watch him in action.

The Alkmaar striker has scored 69 goals and provided 24 assists in 118 matches. He scored five goals in the 2022-23 Europa Conference League and helped his club to reach the semi-finals.

He will enter the final 18 months of his contract in January. AZ could be pressured into a sale in 2024 to get some funds. They don’t want to lose him as a free agent in 2025.
