Despite their inconsistent start to the season, Mauricio Pochettino claims he has been delighted with the performance levels of his Chelsea team

Chelsea is currently in 12th place in the Premier League standings with just one victory in their first four games. They entered the international break following a 1-0 loss to Nottingham Forest at Stamford Bridge.

Pochettino thinks Chelsea will change the results once his team exhibits a more clinical touch in front of goal, and he believes his team’s point total does not accurately reflect their achievements thus far.

In a news conference prior to this weekend’s match against Bournemouth, Pochettino stated, “The team performance was good in the first months [of the season] but we didn’t get the points.”

“We just need more time to work as a team; so many guys showed up at the last minute, but they support our style of play.

The most crucial aspect of football, scoring goals, is what we are lacking right now, but it will come. We need to stop giving up simple goals if we want to be more competitive. We cannot show weakness in these circumstances.
