Chelsea co-owner Todd Boehly speaks to Saudi league director for summer window

Boehly has held multiple meetings in Riyadh with regards to potential player sales and a new sponsorship agreement.

Chelsea co-owner Todd Boehly has made a trip to Saudi Arabia to assess possible opportunities to generate funds for the club going forward. The Blues will face difficulties as they have already gone with a loss of £90m.

It would be interesting to know Chelsea’s attitude in the summer transfer window. The Blues insist that there will be no major problems. As per reports, Chelsea may off-load six players in the upcoming summer transfer window to raise funds.

Mauricio Pochettino may survive his job. Chelsea secured a 3-2 win against Newcastle on Monday in the Premier League. The Argentine helped Chelsea to play EFL Cup final and they are also into the quarterfinals of the FA Cup where they meet Leicester City this week.

As per the reports of the Telegraph, Boehly has held multiple meetings in Riyadh with regards to potential player sales and a new sponsorship agreement.

It is added that the Blues are in discussions with Riyadh Air over becoming the new main shirt sponsor for 2024-25 onwards. Chelsea also sold players to Saudi Pro League clubs like Edouard Mendy and Kalidou Koulibaly moving to Al-Ahli and Al-Hilal last summer.

N’Golo Kante moved to Al Ittihad on a free transfer, and Hakim Ziyech is also planning to go there. Boehly has spoken to the Pro League sporting director Michael Emenalo regarding the upcoming options on the summer window.
