Mauricio Pochettino seems excited to return to Spurs with his new club Chelsea.

The Argentine coach was in charge of Spurs from 2014 to 2019 helping the side reach UEFA Champions League final for the first time in his last season.

The North London club has largely failed to emulate the success that Pochettino delivered in his five-and-a-half-year stint as Spurs coach.

Spurs hired former Celtic manager Ange Postecoglou back in June and has helped the side reach the top of the Premier League table with 26 points.

Chelsea will play Tottenham on Monday night for the first time since the Argentine took over at Chelsea in July.

Mauricio Pochettino claims it will be special to return to his former club on Monday at the Tottenham Hotspur stadium.

“Yes. I think so. They are doing a fantastic job. Ange and the other coaches, they are doing a fantastic job” he replied.

“It is early in the season but they are showing the quality to be a contender.

“I’m so happy for him and the club to be doing really well. We cannot forget all that happened there. It’s normal that we are very positive and grateful people.

“When people are doing well at the club I have been at, we keep these links and always we are happy when the club do well.”
