Chelsea agreed on season-long loan deal with Roma for Romelu Lukaku

Roma will pay £8million to take Romelu Lukaku for a year.

As per the new reports, Chelsea have agreed a season-long loan deal with Roma for Romelu Lukaku. The Belgian forward was keen to find new club as he was not in Chelsa’s plan this season.

Lukaku’s future was uncertain at Chelsea and finally, he got a chance to find a new home. He will move to Italy once again with the new club, AS Roma.

Roma will pay £8million to take the wantaway striker for a year as a solution to the stand-off between player and club appears finally to be in sight. PA reports that there is no obligation for the club to make the deal permanent.

The 30-year-old joined Chelsea for £97.5m in 2021. He had a disappointing season at Stamford Bridge. He scored only eight Premier League goals in 26 games before being loaned out to Inter Milan last season.

The Chelsea manager hinted last week that he would be willing to consider reintegrating Lukaku into his squad if no deal for him to leave could be reached before Friday’s transfer deadline.
