Chelsea are expected to make a move for Victor Osimhen.
Club legend Pat Nevin has advised his former club to offload Mykhaylo Mudryk to facilitate a move for Napoli striker Victor Osimhen.
Mykhaylo Mudryk has struggled for Chelsea since his big-money move earlier this year and should be worth considering the sale of the Ukrainian international.
Chelsea have been linked with the Osimhen over the past few months and having Osimhen in their roster could make the difference in their run for Champions League qualification.
Nevin believes Osimhen would be the perfect striker for the Chelsea squad but Napoli would command a hefty price.
He said: ‘Strikers are always top-dollar, and Chelsea have already spent a fortune on players who weren’t always worth the fee. They’ll have to spend even more to get a top-quality striker in.
‘I thought Victor Osimhen was the man a few years ago, and I still think he is. I’d imagine he’s the one Chelsea will go for.
‘A lot of teams would be interested in Mudryk! I’m not saying Chelsea should get rid of him, but Chelsea will have to sell someone if they want to get a striker as good as Osimhen in the door.’
