Borussia Dortmund Sporting Director Reveals Christian Pulisic Preferred Chelsea Over Another Premier League Club

Borussia Dortmund Sporting Director has revealed Christian Pulisic chose to join Chelsea amidst interest from another Premier League clubs.

A number of clubs had been courting his development as the likes of Liverpool and Manchester United were very keen in the youngster. United were particularly interested as they have been on the lookout for a right sided attacker and Pulisic fits the bill perfectly.

Chelsea paid a mammoth £58m for the 20 year old in this winter transfer window and sent back the player immediately back to Dortmund where he would continue his development.

On being asked about Pulisic’s transfer Dortmund sporting director revealed it was entirely the player’s decision to move to the Stamford Bridge.

The Blues rushed Pulisic’s move as clouds are hovering over Eden Hazard’s future. Talks over a new deal haven’t materialised so far and the Belgian’s contract will be over in 2020.

Chelsea may prefer to cash in on the player in the near future who has been on the radar of a number of clubs including Real Madrid. Los Blancos are very eager to shell a big amount to build the team around the forward and might raid the West London outfit in the summer.
