Bayer Leverkusen Teammates Desperately Trying To Make Kai Havertz Stay

Kai Havertz’s Bayer Leverkusen teammates are trying to convince him into staying.

Reports indicate that the German’s transfer to Chelsea is nearly done with both clubs finalizing a prize as we write this down.

Havertz still being in his teenage years might be overwhelmed by talks of a record transfer fee from Chelsea. But the Leverkusen dressing room is safe haven from all the outside noise as his teammate, Nadiem Amiri explained. He said that no one from the team is bothering Havertz about his future.

“We don’t want to talk about it at all. In the dressing room we are very relaxed,” Amiri said. “Nobody would go there and speak to him and ask: ‘What are you doing now?’ The boy can handle that himself.”

“The boy is concerned with that himself. I hope he makes the right decision. There are always a few jokes and a few things said. But we need Kai! We also have to leave his head alone.”

Havertz’s future at Leverkusen is pretty much done after missing out on Champions League qualification this season. Frank Lampard has flown in to convince both Bundesliga wonderkids – Timo Werner and Kai, that their future will be more lucrative at Stamford Bridge. Their values aligned and now, we are set to see an offensively loaded Chelsea side next season.
