Chelsea forward Tammy Abraham has accepted that the club has a huge game coming up against Ajax tonight.
However, the player has also said that Ajax and Chelsea have a few similarities in terms of both clubs pushing through young players and playing attacking intense football which is a comfort on the eyes.
“We know it’s a massive game for us,” Abraham told Chelsea’s official website.
Massive, massive. Ajax are like us, they have a lot of young players who like to keep the ball and play good football. Off the ball as well they like to win it back quickly.
“We know it’s not going to be easy, but I believe in myself and my team that we can hopefully get a result there.
“We got ourselves back on track in Lille. It’s not an easy place to go to, we dug deep and got that win. Who says we can’t do the same at Ajax?”
Chelsea lost their first game of the Champions League season, against Valencia in the Bridge but came back strongly with a 2-1 win against Lille. They now take on group leaders Ajax in the third match.
