Chelsea defender Trevoh Chalobah has attracted interest from Nottingham Forest.

The outcasted defender has been poised to make a move this January as he has struggled to get minutes over the past two seasons.

Chalobah rose to prominence under the management of Thomas Tuchel, regularly featuring in the first team and became a utility man for the Blues.

He is currently sidelined with a hamstring injury and has not featured for the Blues yet this campaign.

The Chelsea academy product is deemed surplus to Mauricio Pochettino’s requirements and he will force a move in the final days of the transfer window.

His persistent thigh injury has derailed his chances in the current Chelsea squad and Pochettino would be keen to offload the unwanted players from the current roster.

Several Serie A clubs have been credited with an interest in the England international but no official bid has been made yet.

League rivals Nottingham Forest are reportedly keen on signing the defender on a six-month loan to reinforce their defence in an attempt to survive the relegation battle.

But they are ready to pay an exorbitant loan fee due to Chalobah’s notorious fitness record.

If the player regains his form and fitness, Forest will be ready to negotiate a permanent transfer in the summer.
