Mauricio Pochettino knows Chelsea project will be a success.

The Argentine manager had a tough start to his life at Chelsea as he managed to win only one game for the Blues so far.

Despite spending millions on new players this summer, Chelsea are languishing at 14th in the Premier League table.

But the former Spurs boss believes his team is playing good football and it’s only a matter of time before the results start coming their way.

Chelsea witnessed a victory against Brighton last night in the Carabao Cup, thanks to Nicolas Jackson who struck a goal five minutes after half-time.

Manager Mauricio Pochettino hailed the character of his players after ending their three-game winless run.

“Very pleased with the performance again,” he said. “(I am) happy for the victory and (it is) important to go through and build our momentum. I hope to build momentum for the future from today.

“Very pleased when the strikers score, it’s important. He needed to feel the net, it was an important game for him.

“All the team was really good. If we assess, all the players were in a very good level.

“I think they (the players) showed character and personality.”
