Christian Pulisic will be allowed to leave Stamford Bridge this summer
Chelsea are going to offload one more player this summer. Lyon have joined the race for Christian Pulisic by submitting a written offer to the Blues.
The Athletic’s David Ornstein reports that the Ligue 1 club lodged a €25m bid to the Premier League club.
AC Milan formalised their interest in the he 24-year-old earlier on Sunday with a deal worth €14m.
But the report adds that the Les Gones have rivalled the AC Milan approach with a package that will include a ‘meaningful’ sell-on clause.
Relations between the Chelsea hierarchy and Lyon are said to be very strong since Malo Gusto’s January move. Pulisic has made 145 appearances for the West London club since his move from Borussia Dortmund in 2019.
However, the USA international will be allowed to leave Stamford Bridge this summer if an agreeable fee can be struck.
