Lautaro Martinez, a standout for Inter Milan, wants to work with Mauricio Pochettino at Chelsea

The Express reports that Mauricio Pochettino’s native Lautaro Martinez, a sensation for Inter Milan, is eager to join him at Chelsea.

The Argentine international is one of the best strikers in the Italian top division and was a member of the team that won the FIFA World Cup in Qatar last year. Martinez, a reliable goal scorer for the Nerazzurri, is skilled at the top level and prepared to advance in his career. Last season, Simone Inzaghi’s team advanced to the UEFA Champions League final, however they were unable to defeat Manchester City in the championship game. It might be said that Martinez is one of the best among the group of players that stood out.

The Giuseppe Meazza appears to be getting a summer makeover. While Manchester United and Chelsea continue to show interest in Andre Onana, Marcelo Brozovic is rumoured to be moving to the Middle East. The biggest notable difference, though, might be in their forward line. Romelu Lukaku is scheduled to return to Stamford Bridge, at least temporarily, while Edin Dzeko has already left. They will only have Joaquin Correa left as a senior striker after losing Martinez as well, significantly weakening their frontline strength.

The player is now eager to join Stamford Bridge, so how Chelsea handles the situation will be crucial. The Blues are in need of another attacker, especially one with a higher goal-scoring ability, with Kai Havertz expected to sign with Arsenal. Martinez definitely meets the criteria and scores more goals than the player headed to the Emirates. We may make things simpler for Inter by giving Lukaku in exchange, despite the fact that they would be concerned of the mass cull in the striking department.

The Belgian is eager to keep playing in Europe and has no desire to relocate to the Middle East. He has a preference for going back to Inter, which may be helpful to us in our pursuit of Martinez. Martinez is a player with plenty of experience and is just beginning his prime at age 25. He will undoubtedly give the Blues’ forward line a lot more dynamism when paired with Christopher Nkunku. If the Argentine transfers to Stamford Bridge this summer, Chelsea would undoubtedly gain after having trouble scoring goals last season.
