The Blues are ready to activate the break clause for Santos.
Chelsea are planning to recall Andrey Santos from his loan spell at Nottingham Forest. He has been excellent at youth level and earned senior cap for Brazil.
The 19-year-old has been tipped to become a key player over the next decade. He got enough time to play during the pre-season for Chelsea. He appeared for 195 minutes during the tour of the United States.
A loan switch to Nottingham Forest was expected to lead to action on a weekly basis. Forest boss Cooper has reiterated that Santos had made an impact in training.
As per the Evening Standard, the Brazilian may only have the opportunity to do so until the end of the season 2023/24.
Chelsea are considering terminating Andrey Santos’ loan in January and have been disappointed by his lack of minutes.
Chelsea are planning further talks with Nottingham Forest to resolve the uncertain future of Santos.
