Chelsea seem confident about signing Ivan Toney from Brentford next window

Even though the summer transfer season has just closed, speculation regarding Chelsea adding a forward is only growing as a result of our excruciating lack of goals

We have an exclusive with Talksport today regarding the Brentford forward Ivan Toney. They claim that we are “confident” of finding a contract for the striker in January.

It will reportedly cost us £60 million, which is not awful if he can provide us goals with assurance. The irony in all of this is that Toney has just started training again while being suspended for his betting violations.

It’s unclear whether his extended absence will provide him a slight edge or whether it actually means he’ll be extra rested and fresh for the remainder of the year.

Even yet, it’s difficult to picture us not at least taking a chance if he is truly available at that price given that we have only scored 5 goals in our first 5 league games.

If given time to adjust, Nicolas Jackson will develop into a “fantastic player” for Chelsea, according to Mauricio Pochettino, who has compared his debut at the club to Vinicius Junior’s at Real Madrid.
