Chelsea failed to sign this lethal forward in the summer window.

The West London giants held an interest in the Serbian striker in the summer but the club strengthened their frontline with the addition of Nicolas Jackson from Villarreal.

Chelsea are keen on signing a new striker this January as the Blues are struggling to get the desired results under manager Mauricio Pochettino.

There were discussions over a deal where want-away Romelu Lukaku would move in the opposite direction but the Belgium international joined Roma on a season-long loan instead.

Vlahovic’s contract with Juventus ends in the summer of 2026 and would cost around €80 million to materialise a move away from the Old Lady.

Pochettino believes the 23-year-old striker would solve their problems in the final third and would want to open up negotiations in the January transfer window.

Juventus sporting director Cristiano Giuntoli revealed that Chelsea made an offer for their star forward this summer.

Giuntoli said: “There was an offer from Chelsea for Vlahovic. We didn’t want to part with Dusan, but faced with certain figures, we would have accepted. Chelsea never reached that amount, and the [Lukaku] swap did not materialise.”
