Conor Gallagher could decide to leave Chelsea after Romeo Lavia arrival.

Chelsea has been locked in transfer talks with Southampton midfielder Romeo Lavia and his arrival could be announced anytime this week.

Conor Gallagher who is a keen admirer of Pochettino and his coaching ways could look to depart Stamford Bridge before the deadline day.

West Ham and Tottenham are leading the race for Gallagher’s signature and would be a great addition to the east London ranks.

But manager Mauricio Pochettino came out publicly to announce Gallagher is still a part of his plans.

Pochettino said: ‘Conor is in our plans, I was talking with him the first day I arrived.

‘In football, things can happen we cannot manage. At the moment, I am happy with him and his performance, he has two years on his contract.’

New reports have emerged Gallagher is one of the six players Chelsea wants to offload this summer.

The 23-year-old midfielder wants to stay at Chelsea and fight for his place but the club is not ready to negotiate a new contract with the player.
