Chelsea have no intention of entertaining summer bids for Levi Colwill

Colwill would be forced to cover for Chilwell and Marc Cucurella at left-back earlier in the season.

Chelsea have no plans to offload their young defender Levi Colwill despite transfer links from Paris Saint-Germain and Liverpool. The Blues want to keep him at Stamford Bridge in the summer.

Colwill was instrumental during his stint with Brighton where he helped his club to earn maiden Europa League qualification. He was integrated into Chelsea’s first-team squad during the previous summer.

The Blues sanctioned a new six-year deal for the highly-rated defender. The Englishman will see his contract expire in 2029 with the option of a further year.

The 20-year-old has been a solid player for Pochettino and made 32 appearances in all competitions including 20 Premier League starts. He also scored one goal and provided one assist.

Colwill would be forced to cover for Chilwell and Marc Cucurella at left-back earlier in the season. The Blues are struggling this season and they are not in the race to earn UEFA qualification.

As per the Evening Standard, Chelsea will reject any approaches for Colwill in the summer transfer window. PSG sporting director Luis Campos is also pushing for the Ligue 1 champions to bring him to the French capital.
