Kepa Arrizabalaga will now return to Chelsea after losing place to Lunin in Madrid.
Chelsea goalkeeper Kepa Arrizabalaga is currently on loan at Real Madrid. He has been left disappointed in his efforts to sign for Real Madrid permanently.
The former Athletic Bilbao man moved to the Spanish capital in last summer’s transfer window. Madrid got him due to the long-term injury of first-choice goalkeeper Thibaut Courtois.

Real Madrid want to extend Lunin’s contract and they keep waiting for Courtois back in the summer.

Kepa started the season as first-choice goalkeeper and he played in four of their six Champions League group games. His adductor injury ruled him out for a couple of weeks and he has lost his place in the team to Andriy Lunin.
Lunin is likely to play as the main goalkeeper in the UCL quarter-final with Manchester City. Kepa could potentially end his time at the Bernabeu at the end of the season.
As per the transfer expert Fabrizio Romano, Kepa will not be staying at Real Madrid beyond the end of the season. He will now return to Chelsea.
