Malo Gusto is now available to replace James after serving a three-match suspension.
Chelsea skipper Reece James may miss out the crucial game against Arsenal at Stamford Bridge this weekend. As per the Evening Standard, he suffered an injury setback.
The Englishman has been forced to withdraw from group training sessions and is now undergoing solitary workouts at Cobham Training Centre. The right-back had been making strides in his recovery from a hamstring injury he sustained few weeks back.
Malo Gusto is now available to replace James after serving a three-match suspension following his red card against Aston Villa last month. Gusto returns to West London this Wednesday and could deputise for James.
Armando Broja and Carney Chukwuemeka are also doubtful to feature against Arsenal. Broja recently returned from knee surgery.
Nicolas Jackson is likely to lead the line with a cast on his wrist following minor surgery. Chelsea remain hopeful that Trevoh Chalobah and Benoit Badiashile will soon return from injury.
The West London club will also miss the services of Ben Chilwell, Christopher Nkunku, Romeo Lavia, Wesley Fofana, and Marcus Bettinelli. The Chelsea manager has to deal with it and look for points in the home game.
