Bayern Munich planning move for Chelsea goalkeeper Kepa Arrizabalaga

Chelsea goalkeeper Kepa Arrizabalaga will be the ideal replacement for injured Manuel Neuer.

According to Sport1, Bayern Munich are in the market for a new goalkeeper and Kepa Arrizabalaga is their priority. The report adds that Bayern manager Thomas Tuchel is keen to get the Chelsea man.

Tuchel has worked with Arrizabalaga during his time at Chelsea. He used him as a backup to Edouard Mendy but has reportedly recommended him to the top brass at Bayern.

Manuel Neuer could not play immediately after returning from a leg break so Bundesliga winners need an option for goalkeeping. Neuer could be out for a few weeks or months.

Meanwhile, Die Rekordmeister have agreed a deal for Yann Sommer to leave and join Inter Milan. They have shifted their attention to Arrizabalaga.

The 28-year-old goalkeeper kept nine clean sheets in 29 Premier League appearances last season and he recorded the top save percentage in the league.

The Blues have signed Robert Sanchez from Brighton for £25 million, but it remains unclear if they will let Arrizabalaga leave.
