Pochettino hints at potential Chelsea departures ahead of transfer deadline

Mauricio Pochettino hinted at potential departures from Chelsea as the transfer deadline loomed closer.

Following a disappointing 4-1 defeat against Liverpool, Pochettino addressed speculation about players leaving Stamford Bridge in his post-match press conference.

While not confirming any specific exits, Pochettino acknowledged the unpredictability of transfer windows, stating, “To be honest, I cannot say yes or not.

Always some things appear in the last moment, surprise or not, and we need to be aware of that. At the moment, I can tell you there is nothing moving at the moment.”

However, rumors surfaced regarding possible outgoing transfers from the club. Fabrizio Romano reported that Andrey Santos was set to join Strasbourg on loan after agreeing to the move.

Santos, who returned from an unsuccessful loan stint at Nottingham Forest, seemed poised for a fresh start in the French league.

Another player speculated to depart was Armando Broja, with Fulham reportedly interested in securing the striker’s services, according to the Daily Mail.

Broja’s potential departure would leave Nicolas Jackson as the sole natural No.9 at Stamford Bridge. Despite limited opportunities in the Premier League this season, the 22-year-old may consider a move to seek more playing time elsewhere.

As the transfer deadline approached, the possibility of Chelsea witnessing some exits remained on the cards, adding intrigue to the final hours of the transfer window.
