Armando Broja returned to action earlier this month.

The Chelsea striker tore a cruciate ligament in his right knee during a friendly against Aston Villa in Abu Dhabi back in December.

He made a return from his long-term injury and was handed a start against London rivals Fulham as he scored his first goal of the season.

Alongside Broja, Nicolas Jackson is the only natural forward in the current Chelsea lineup who is currently sidelined with a hand injury.

According to reports, Italian giants Inter Milan are interested in the Albanian international and would consider a move this January.

The Blues academy graduate extended his contract last season until the summer of 2028.

Manager Mauricio Pochettino believes Broja needs some time to hit the ground running at Stamford Bridge.

He said: ‘When you start to feel the player in a training session, you can feel the potential. Broja has amazing potential, now it’s about how he recovers from the long period he was out.

‘He is a very talented player, we trust him. Now he needs time, to feel complete. In his body, if not in his mind also. Sometimes a long injury also impacts your mind.’
