Chelsea head didn’t admit it was a penalty but said that if it was, then Chelsea deserved a bit of luck in this instance. Speaking after his team’s win against the Cherries, the Lampard told BBC MOTD:
“On first viewing I thought it wasn’t. But if you say it wasn’t and VAR says it wasn’t, that’s good enough for me. Maybe in the period of time since I’ve been here, we’ve deserved that twist of luck – if it was a twist of luck.”
Benoit Badiashile scored a goal in the 82nd minute before Joao Felix sealed the three points four points later. Chelsea lost all six games across competitions under Lampard before this. It was first win for Lampard this season as Chelsea head.
