AC Milan reignite their interest in Trevoh Chalobah

Trevoh Chalobah is expected to make a move in the coming days.

The Chelsea defender has reached the crossroads of his career since the arrival of Mauricio Pochettino last summer.

He has fallen down the pecking order since the arrival of Axel Disasi from Monaco last summer and will force away a move this month.

The academy graduate has struggled for game time over the past two seasons and is currently sidelined with a hamstring injury.

With Thiago Silva, Axel Disasi, Benoit Badiashile, Wesley Fofana and Levi Colwill all in the squad, Chalobah would face difficulty in garnering any minutes this season.

His persistent thigh injury has derailed his chances in the current Chelsea squad and Pochettino would be keen to offload the unwanted players from the current roster.

Several clubs are interested in the 24-year-old with AC Milan trying to secure a loan move in the final week of the transfer window.

Chalobah would be given the opportunity to reunite with USMNT star Christian Pulisic who sanctioned a move last summer.

His contract with Chelsea expires in the summer of 2028 and his sale would generate a significant profit in their books.

Chelsea would need to offload a few players this month to adhere to the Financial Fair Play regulations.
