Chelsea planning a summer move for Athletic Bilbao forward Nico Williams

Chelsea have already sent scouts to watch Athletic forward Nico Williams.

Chelsea are now focusing on the next transfer window and Athletic forward Nico Williams is a potential transfer target for the Blues.

The 21-year-old has spent much of his career plying his trade for the La Liga club. He has established himself as a vital player in the final third.

Nico Williams has netted six goals and provided nine assists from his last 43 appearances in the Spanish top-flight. There is a chance that Athletic face the realistic prospect of losing their star man on a free transfer.

President John Uriarte would look to extend his contract so he can stay with the club. The 21-year-old will see his contract expire at the end of the current season.

According to transfer expert Fabrizio Romano, the Blues have already sent scouts to watch the player. The West London club failed to back up their interest in the summer.
