The Belgian striker has scored only five Premier League goals since his arrival to Stamford Bridge in the summer of 2021.
He has been struggling to justify his £98 million price tag and Tuchel admits that he will not be changing his ways for anyone.
Lukaku was instrumental in helping Inter Milan lift the Serie A trophy last season and was expected to lead the challenge in the Premier League in 2022.
Thomas Tuchel was asked in a press conference if he would consider changing his approach to bring the best out of Lukaku.
“No, I think we do everything to help him,” the German replied.
“I think this is absolutely the wrong question because it’s focusing on one player.
“He’s a key player and we want him to be a key player, but this is not about (one player), this is a team sport and it’s not about 10 players serving one player – this is not Chelsea and this is not football.
“Every player serving the team; this is the highest principle and this will never change.”
