Phillips feels that his injuries are becoming a real issue for Chelsea.

According to journalist Simon Phillips, Chelsea midfielder N’Golo Kante‘s injuries are a concern for Graham Potter.

The Frenchman is currently nursing a hamstring problem and hasn’t played since the middle of August against Tottenham.

Kante has been a key player for the Blues and he won the Premier League, FA Cup, Europa League, Champions League, Super Cup and Club World Cup during six successful years at Stamford Bridge.

Since the beginning of the 2019-2020 campaign, the France international has missed more than 50 matches in all competitions, seven of which have come this season.

Kante has been suffering from various knee and muscle problems, forcing him to spend long spells on the sidelines.

His current setback came in the draw with Spurs six weeks ago, with the experienced midfielder sustaining a hamstring problem in the latter stages, which he continues to recover from.

Phillips feels that his injuries are becoming a real issue for Chelsea.

He spoke to GIVEMESPORT: “I looked at a stat the other day and Kante has missed 50 per cent of games that he could be available for in the last two seasons, so that’s a real problem and worry.”

Kante might have been forced to miss both of France’s Nations League games in recent days.

Meanwhile, the player is back training at Chelsea’s Cobham ground as he steps up his recovery from his latest setback.
