Frank Lampard gives an injury update ahead of Saturday’s clash against Manchester City.
Summer signing Hakim Ziyech has been injured for over a month with a hamstring injury and is now back to full team training.
Right-back Reece James also suffered a hamstring injury added to his previous knee injury that he was dealing with.
“He’s fit to train. He’s trained for the last two or three days. I will make the decision as to whether he is ready to start. Reece James is out. Reece has got a small hamstring problem,” said Frank Lampard to Chelsea’s official website.
Manchester City are unbeaten in 10 games in all competitions after enduring a horrid start to the new campaign.
“I am confident in us as a team. I know when we play at Stamford Bridge then we can beat anybody,” Lampard added.
“They are such a good possession-based team and I know we will have to be at our best to win.”
