Team News

Chelsea have a problem of the Blues. Their striker Timo Werner got off to a hot start to the Premier League but has now gone 11 games without a goal – his longest dry spell ever.

Another new boy Kai Havertz is finding it tough to break into the league. He is young, so hope cannot be given up on him. Jorginho could be rested with Kovacic returning to the line up.

Thiago Silva and Kurt Zouma were both rested against Aston Villa and should be back this weekend. Reece James was also out of the squad and should be back now with Azpilicueta on the bench.

Hakim Ziyech is on the brink of a return but featuring against City would be too early for him. Pulisic and Giroud both look sharp up front and should be starting for Lampard’s men.

As for City, they have a proper crisis with rising CoVID cases in their ranks. The likes of Walker, Jesus are out with Ederson, Cancelo and Silva also reported to be tested positive. Laporte has been out of the first team with Stones in good form.

However, for Chelsea, they will be fearing the return of Sergio Aguero.

  1. Chelsea has the potential to win games if the head coach stop the experiment of changing the players and swarp their numbers. I would advice him jst to select one competitive team as Liverpool maintained and try to use Christian Pulisic on left wing while Timo Werner on top with Hakim Ziyech on the right wing onces he returns from injury. Then encourage the players not to have jealous to each other when someone is doing well.Timo is the best striker and i wonder why, since he was given the opportunity of penalt shoot his goal scoring clean sheet has droped down then i suspect something wrong with Jorgihno he is so selfsh please stop using juju against your fellow players for your performance has drop down unlock Werner!!! We need goals from him.
