Aston Villa scored yesterday from a dubious situation.

Andreas Christensen found himself on the floor from the trailing leg of Jack Grealish in the build up to the Villa goal. While Chelsea fans have sympathized with the defender’s plight, Arsenal hero and TV Pundit Ian Wright has blasted the defender for feigning an injury.

“I’m very disappointed there with Christensen because we see Jack Grealish get up here and it’s not a knock that’s going to make him (Christensen) have to leave the game,” Wright noted as he analysed the goal.

“I don’t want to see my centre-half lying on the floor like that when you know nothing is wrong with you. You can see all the problems it’s caused.”

Lampard however, was a satisfied man with his team’s display.

“Definitely, in terms of performance. We started really well, Villa had their moments but we dealt with them and came through the first half really strong. We got a goal we deserved,” he told Amazon Prime after the match.

“Second half, we conceded with a man on the floor, that’s the way it is for us at the moment. We pushed but couldn’t break the deadlock. Attitude-wise, effort-wise, some of the play was very good against a really good team.”
