Antonio Rudiger 'demanding £400k a week from Chelsea'

Chelsea are planning a mass exodus of players this summer and Antonio Rudiger has made it into the list.

Frank Lampard is already fed up with some of the current Chelsea players and wants them gone.

Kurt Zouma, Marcos Alonso, Emerson Palmieri, Andreas Christensen, Kepa Arrizabalaga, Michy Batshuayi and Rudiger are all unwanted at the Stamford Bridge. Defensive inefficiencies throughout the season have led Lampard to come to this conclusion that the players are simply not good enough.

Of course, it would be a mammoth and unrealistic task to get rid of the entire list in one transfer window. Not to forget, the replacements that will be necessary. But we can expect a few of them heading for the exit doors in the coming weeks.

Fans might not be surprised to hear Rudiger’s name thrown into the mix. He has been a part of the Chelsea backline that let in 54 Premier League goals this season – the worst record in the top half of the table. The German international played a small part in convincing Timo Werner to make the switch but has otherwise, been poor on the pitch.

Chelsea are already looking into signing a new left-back and goalkeeper after making significant improvements upfront. Kai Havertz’s move to the Bridge is expected to be concluded soon enough while names like Sergio Reguilon and Ben Chilwell are flying off the rumour mill. Chelsea were interested in Lille’s Brazilian centre-back, Gabriel Magalhaes but Arsenal have stepped ahead in the race for him.
