In fifth place on the Top 5 Chelsea Goalkeepers with most clean sheets of all time is Jim Molyneux. He is the fifth goalkeeper with the most number of clean sheets. He was a decent goalkeeper for Chelsea FC.

Jim Molyneux was an English gaolkeeper and a popular name with the Stamford Bridge crowd. He started his career with Stockport County. In 1910, he transferred to Chelsea and became a first-team regular under David Calderhead.

The Englishman was part of Chelsea side that finished as runner-up in 1915’s FA Cup. The Manchester Guardian singled out his performance in the final for praise and felt that he had been let down by his defence in all three goals that Chelsea conceded.

Sam Millington has the fourth most Clean Sheets by a Chelsea goalkeeper. Millington was one of the first-ever Chelsea FC goalkeepers back in 1926. He kept 78 Clean Sheets.

Simeon Millington was an English footballer and he played as a goalkeeper during the 1920s and 1930s. He joined Blues in January 1926 from non-league Wellington and was the club’s first-choice goalkeeper for the next six seasons.

He was the one who helped Chelsea win the promotion back to the First Division. He lost his place in the side after the entry of Vic Woodley and retired at the end of the 1932/33 season. Watch & Bet on Football =>

Cudicini dislodged Ed de Goey from the number one spot back in 1999 and was voted Chelsea’s Player of the Year for the 2001–02 season. He was the first choice until Petr Čech arrived in 2004.

1. Petr Cech, Chelsea FC, 2004-2015, 227+1

Number 1 on our list of is Petr Cech. The Czech Republic goalkeeper has the most number of clean sheets in the league for Chelsea and is, in my opinion, the greatest goalkeeper Chelsea has ever had.

Cech has pulled off some amazing spiderman like dives to save his team from a sure goal. I don’t know how he has done some of the saves he managed during the Abramovich years when Chelsea were dominating.

Čech trialled with Chelsea in 2003. Čech’s signed for Chelsea for £7 million in 2004 and was then the most expensive goalkeeper in Chelsea’s history.

Čech won four Premier League titles, four FA Cups, three League Cups, one UEFA Europa League and one UEFA Champions League. Čech kept a club record 220 clean sheets for Chelsea in all competitions.

The Czech Republic goalkeeper holds a lot of records. Including the Premier League record for the fewest appearances required to reach 100 clean sheets (180). He also has the joint-most number of clean sheets in a season (21), as well as the record for the most number of clean sheets in Premier League history. In the 2004–05 season, Čech went 1,025 minutes without conceding. Watch & Bet on Football =>

Honorary mentions:

Thibaut Courtois, for as much as the Chelsea fans hate him now, was one of the finer goalkeepers in the club. He had a clean sheet of 37% keeping out players on 58 occasions in the 154 games he played for the club.

He is now at Real Madrid and also won the Golden Glove last year at the World Cup. However, his Madrid career has gotten off to a rocky start.

Current Star:

Edouard Mendy is the current Chelsea goalkeeper and he has been top class with his goalkeeping skills. Chelsea is now the best team in defence in Europe and it helped them to win the Champions League in 2020/21. Mendy has only been at Chelsea for a little over a year, and he has found his name into the top 20 for most clean sheets as a Chelsea goalkeeper.

He has kept 23 clean sheets so far in Premier League in 43 appearances. He also made 89 saves so far in Blues outfit. He will soon finish in the top 5 considering his form. Watch & Bet on Football =>
