According to reports, Real Madrid are keen on signing Chelsea’s back-up goalkeeper Willy Caballero. With Keylor Navas on the verge of leaving the club, Zinedine Zidane is keen on bringing a replacement and is eyeing the Argentinian for the job.
Caballero signed a one-year contract extension in May after Chelsea were hit with a two-window transfer ban. Frank Lampard was said to be willing to let the goalkeeper leave for free next summer, but the Blues could now be tempted with cash.
Los Blancos keeper Keylor Navas was rumoured to be added in a player-plus-cash deal for Neymar.
However, it remains to be seen if Chelsea agree on parting ways with Caballero this summer, knowing that their third-choice goalkeeper Cumming hasn’t played a single game for the first-team.
If they fail to land the Argentinian, Real Madrid will turn their attention to Pepe Reina and Marten Stekelenburg.
