Chelsea vs West Ham United Head To Head Results & Records (H2H)

In the midst of serious rumors that Chelsea is keen to complete a trade this summer, Xabi Alonso has already shown his enthusiasm for West Ham United attacker Jarrod Bowen.

After been named the club’s first “manager” since Jose Mourinho in 2013, Alonso, 44, will formally begin his work at Stamford Bridge on July 1. It is anticipated that he will play a significant part in the Blues’ transfer dealings during the forthcoming window.

In front of this summer, Chelsea has already formally confirmed the acquisitions of Geovany Quenda, Emmanuel Emegha, Dastan Satpaev, and Denner. Additionally, a deal has been reached for Valentin Barco, a midfielder from Strasbourg. Bowen is one of the experienced players that the team is eager to sign.

After West Ham’s relegation to the Championship, Chelsea has been considering an approach to the England winger, who was cruelly left out of Thomas Tuchel’s team for the 2026 World Cup, for some months, according to The Independent.

Chelsea ready to raid relegated club for £22m star

The Independent claims that Bowen, one of the Hammers’ highest earners, is currently “under pressure” to be sold, and there is a lot of interest in the England international.

Chelsea is reportedly “weighing up” an attempt to lure the forward away from the London Stadium and has been “considering Bowen for some time.” According to the source, Chelsea managers are eager to add experience to the team and think Bowen is the perfect candidate to provide much-needed leadership to the group that Xabi Alonso will soon take over.

The Blues are reportedly considering a transfer this summer due in large part to Bowen’s flexibility. However, with other clubs considering bids, the Club World Cup winners will probably have to withstand intense interest in the West Ham striker.

Bowen’s present deal with the Irons expires in June 2030. Given that Alonso is clearly a fan of Bowen, it should be obvious why Chelsea is eager to reach an agreement with the Englishman, who might fetch up to €60 million this summer.
