Chelsea’s star winger Willian hails the “mentality” of the Blues team as the most important reason for winning against Tottenham with a score of 2-0 on Sunday.
Willian led the first ball in the net, giving Chelsea a great star – especially when Chelsea’s form didn’t seen to look great right when the match started. The entire team picked up their game and Willian is definitely very happy with them.
He scored twice in the first half as Frank Lampard’s side fixed a valuable away triumph. That immediately put Chelsea in the top 4 in the Premier League and won six points more than their London opponents – as they had hoped.
“I am happy with the two goals but the most important thing is to win the game. We did brilliant today,” Willian told Sky Sports.
“I think Spurs expected us to put the ball in the box for the first goal but we did not and by going short we caught them out and it worked. The team’s mentality was perfect.
“I think now we have to keep doing the same. We cannot go up and down, we need to carry on and stay at the top of our form.”
