Why Lampard can cope without transfers this summer

Chelsea football club may have found a way to cope without transfers this summer.

The Blues lost several heavyweight players including their talisman Eden Hazard last summer. However, they managed to not only cope with it but turn it to advantage last season after hiring Frank Lampard. With a transfer embargo on, Frank brought through a bunch of unused youngsters from the Chelsea academy and gave them the start and confidence.

They gave results and Frank’s masterstroke has so far paid off. The Blues are known for being big-hitters in the transfer market and many were lining up to watch who the club would bring in this summer. However, with the spread of CoVID-19 now rampant, Europe could be stuck in an economic crisis for the near future.

This means transfers would be few at most and Chelsea might have to go another season without any new signings. Any other manager would have either been at his wits’ end or frustrated with the firepower at Chelsea but Lampard heavily believes in his young guns.

He has completely backed each and every one of them to come good and better again the next season and plans to keep injecting the first team with more academy players regardless of the transfer status. The man has shown before that he can convert these academy players into Chelsea quality and who is stop him from doing so again!
