What Tammy Abraham brings to the Chelsea frontline
Bildbyran

Tammy Abraham had his breakthrough season for Chelsea last year.

The forward who came through the ranks at the Bridge, has been immense for the Blues but was set to lose his place in the starting line up!

The arrival of Timo Werner and Kai Havertz and Hakim Ziyech with the presence of Christian Pulisic means that the club are overlaoded in attack and so it was natural that Abraham would find himself down the pecking order.

He has now however, taken full advantage of the few starts given and is set in the team as a starter.

His conventional number nine skillset has seen him play as a forward who can play with his back to the goal while holding the ball for his team-mate.

Such exceptional skills in a team full of mavericks and speedsters brings the dynamism to the Chelsea front line that helps Frank Lampard attack.

So it is obvious that despite Abraham not being an elite forward he is crucial to the element of attack for this team.

The likes of Werner and Ziyech move better and find different options with Abraham’s strong physical presence up front – not to mention that he is good with his goal scoring abilities as well.
