Chelsea striker Werner opens up on his injury problems

Werner revealed he has had to work hard to regain fitness after his latest injury.

Chelsea striker Timo Werner has opened up on his injury problems and he believed he had never experienced an injury like his recent hamstring problem.

The former Bundesliga man missed out his last five matches for Blues due to this injury. He made a comeback for Tuchel’s side in a Champions League fixture against Zenit St. Petersburg with a goal and an assist.

And the German revealed he has had to work hard to regain fitness after his latest injury.

Chelsea star spoke after the match, “Before my injury I felt much better than the week before and I had much more confidence in my movements and my style and how I play,”

“After injury, it was difficult to come back after one month. I never had something like that.”

Chelsea dropped points thrice in their last 4 games across all competition including a 3-2 defeat to West Ham in Premier League.
