The Athletic claims that although Chukwuemeka and Casadei are being considered for sales, neither will be sold since Maresca still has plans for them. This is in spite of the transfer activity that is taking place in other European countries. If he is unable to find a new club, Chelsea will offer him another opportunity to establish himself as a member of the Chelsea first squad.
The team wants to give Ben Jacobs a chance because he’s a low-paid player with a high ceiling. Loan consideration will begin next year, unless he can convince them otherwise and outperform his expensively assembled frontline rivals.
Reports claim that a £40 million release clause remains in effect in his contract, and Chelsea was originally opposed to allowing him to go temporarily.
