Thomas Tuchel won his third match on the bounce as Chelsea manager.

The Blues beat Sheffield United 2-1 away and Tuchel was a happy man. This was their third win as well under the new manager in 4 matches. Tuchel’s team finally conceded a goal, an own goal by Antonio Rudiger!

However, a Jorginho penalty and a smashing left foot strike from Mason Mount was enough to give Chelsea all three points.

“It was a tough game to watch,” Tuchel said after the game. “Many situations where it was difficult and many things can happen. Lots of long balls and crosses.

“We could control the game in the opponent half for many minutes, but then you get the deep ball in your half. They had some self-confidence because if their recent wins. I am happy with the responses to the questions we were asked.

“We were lucky in the beginning not to concede first. We were not aggressive enough. But then you want to play with a clean sheet. Normally it should not happen between goalkeeper and defender but mistakes happen. The response was good though.”

The Blues have now collected 10 points from 12 under Tuchel.
