Jorginho still cannot believe the season he just went through.
Two European trophies – one for club and one for his country.
Jorginho’s name is on every fans’ lips and for deserving reasons. He has played key roles for both and has come out as a winner for both. Of course, he was already highly rated by Italian boss Roberto Mancini. It was Thomas Tuchel who came into Stamford Bridge and handed Jorginho a fresh opportunity to impress, one the midfielder lapped up with both of his hands.
He said, “It is hard to describe because it’s something that was so far away for me.
“It was a really big dream for me and it is such a good feeling to achieve these dreams.
“It’s been a very good season. We did so much as a team, it was a good season for everyone involved.
“The manager [Thomas Tuchel] understands my characteristics and he told me what he wants me to do. I try my best for the team every game.
“Now I can’t wait to have fans back next season because it was weird playing without them. We want them back supporting the team and I can’t wait to see them again.”
