Thomas Tuchel has admitted he is worried about Chelsea’s position in the top-four

The Blues were defeated 1-0 by Everton on Sunday, leaving them three points behind fourth-placed Arsenal with four games remaining.

Thomas Tuchel stated that he was’very unhappy’ with Chelsea’s 1-0 Premier League loss to Everton, while also admitting that he predicted the result.

The Toffees went into the game at Goodison Park in the bottom three, but they still overcame the third-placed Blues, with Richarlison settling matters early in the second half after Cesar Azpilicueta made an uncommon blunder.

Chelsea failed to respond well after falling behind, registering an xG of only 1.0 during the game compared to their opponents’ 1.9.

Tuchel, speaking at full time, expressed his disappointment with the outcome but also admitting that the defeat was foreseen.

And, following the setback at Goodison Park, Tuchel admits he doesn’t feel’safe’ about Chelsea’s current situation.

Speaking to reporters after the game, Tuchel said: “I said it many weeks ago, I never feel safe and it does not matter if we are in a race for the top one, the top two, top three or top four, it does not matter what race we are in, it is not enough to have four points from four games.

“In the last four matches, we have one clean sheet against West Ham, and it is the only win we have. So very disappointed.”
