Chelsea boss Tuchel admires goalscorer Lukaku after Brighton game

Romelu Lukaku was the only scorer for Chelsea and he gave them a half-time lead with a header.

Chelsea boss Thomas Tuchel admires Romelu Lukaku and he looked happy after seeing his form. Lukaku was injured due to an ankle issue and came back this month. He scored a goal in the previous match too and Brighton goal was his second.

He was the only scorer for Chelsea and he gave them a half-time lead with a header but Danny Welbeck outjumped Rudiger a minute into the stoppage time to spoil the party of hosts.

Despite a draw against Brighton, Tuhcel had special words for Lukaku: “I’m surprised what he’s doing.

“I don’t know how long he can do it. We will try it and then we will see. Nobody knows.

“He was eight weeks out, and when he was trying to come back he caught covid, and then after that training and then playing. That’s what we do at the moment.”

Chelsea are now eight points behind Man City in the table and their chances of Premier League title is slim.
