Chelsea set to reward Chalobah with a brand new contract

Chelsea is planning to reward Chalobah with a brand new contract at Stamford Bridge. The 22-year-old Chelsea ace is close to sign a long-term deal according to football.london.

The academy graduate has taken his chance in Thomas Tuchel’s side this season. Talks were going on and now an agreement is close. Chelsea made a tremendous start to their Premier League campaign and take the top position on the table. Chalobah has started Chelsea’s last three Premier League games and has featured in nine games across all competitions. He has already scored 2 goals for the Blues this term.

In an interview with Chelsea’s official website, Chalobah spoke about his ambition with the Blues: “Having played with them for so many years, me watching them gave me the motivation to know I can be there [at Chelsea] as well. It gave me the motivation to work even harder and that gave me the chance.”

Chelsea head coach also said earlier in August about this player, “I think he did a fantastic pre-season with us and he’s a very good player and even more importantly a top character.”
