Most notable players
John Terry and Frank Lampard are the two most famous players for Chelsea from the last decade that make the list. I remember one season, Lampard broke the record for most consecutive games for Chelsea but then he got sick shortly afterwards. Rumor was , that he still wanted to play!
It’s not a surprise John Terry is so high up in third considering he was at the club for almost 20 years. He is truly, in my opinion the most legendary player at the club.
Legends
Other legends such as Ron “Chopper” Harris and Dennis Wise are also heroes at Stamford Bridge along with Peter Bonetti.
Didier Drogba and Branislav Ivanovic were very close to making the top 10 but fall just out of it with 381 and 377 appearances respectively.
Another legend, Peter Osgood, was 14th with 380 appearances.
While current Chelsea star Eden Hazard has over 300 appearances for the club as does Cesar Azpilicueta. So who else from our current squad is in the list?
Captain Gary Cahill is close to 300 appearances for Chelsea Football Club having not played much in the last two years.
Willian has made over 250 for the club. The Brazilian has been in excellent form as of late and he is having one of his better seasons in 2018/19 despite his age.
David Luiz or “Geezer” has over 200 appearances. His number will go up if he stays next season depending on this contract.
Current situation
I suspect a number of players are going to leave Chelsea in the summer this year. Club veterans like Gary Cahill and Luiz may go. While questions still remain over the futures of Eden Hazard.
But even if those players go, there is still hope that the Blues can get better players in the summer and hopefully we can have a good season 2019/20.

Current Squad
The current squad in Chelsea is perhaps the most young side the Blues have enrolled in the last 10 years or so. Player like Ruben Loftus-Cheek, Callum Hudson-Odoi, Ethan Ampadu, Andreas Christensen are all Chelsea academy graduates but have little experience of playing top division football in England’s Premier League to be called seasoned campaigners.
There are also players like Ross Barkley, Mateo Kovacic, Jorginho who are new to Chelsea having joined in 2018. In attack, the striker dilemma has seen Chelsea left with Giroud as the most experienced striker even though he also joined in 2018.
In the wings, Eden Hazard is the mainstay although he might leave this summer depending on what Real Madrid offer him. Chelsea will be hoping another new star Christian Pulisic can fill in those shoes to make up for the lost star in Hazard.
In defence, Azpilicueta is sure to take over the mettle of being the club captain next season with Cahill all set to leave. Kepa is also a new addition having joined the club last summer but he does feel like an old chap and is certainly not shy to confront the big leaders including the gaffer himself!
